What "a woman" Is Not.

Definitely not that “thing” you exchanged for cows?!

You ask me what she does to deserve respect and honor,

I’ll tell you she is more than what you think a “Woman” is, you will judge yourself.

Tell me it’s not enough to be a woman!

Tell me it’s not painful enough to have her uterus bleed every month.

Tell me it’s not enough to carry you for 9 months, lactate you for 2 years, teach you your first steps and feed you your first meal?

You think being a woman is just about being a Daughter, Wife and Mother!

Poor you! But that is because you are too naive to believe who a Woman is!

A woman is a daughter, Wife, mother and A leader, an Entrepreneur, an influencer, activist, an engineer, a doctor and many more too.

A woman is not just the pretty face, curves, breasts. A woman is what she does with her body, mind, and soul. And by this I mean, a woman gives life through her body, she natures her offsprings by her smart mind and transforms them to what she couldn’t be because she wasn’t given a chance to.

And it’s not even about begging for a chance!

She deserves it, she deserves to be given a safe space to free herself and show the world what she has always been limited to be.

Do I still need to explain why you should treat her nicer and respect her more!?

Do you think if she stays home and cook, look after your kids, clean up every corner of your house you have the right to treat her like a home material!?, that “thing” you exchanged for cows?!

She will come home tired from work and watch you laying down with the remote in your hands and excuse me, just to remind you she’s human being too.

She gets tired like you. All she needs is someone to help her in the kitchen but all you do is ignoring her and wait until she serves you that hotpot!

Or maybe without mentioning all her sleepless nights when she’s waiting for you to come back from the Kabare (Bar)!

A woman does not deserve to be shouted over, she rather deserves to be tenderly spoken.

A woman is not just someone’s daughter whose feelings can be played with, or whom you can offer gifts to sleep with, or maybe whom you can curse because of her size!

A woman deserves to be put in a place where she belongs, she’s a Queen!

A woman is not weak, incapable just like you think, she deserves to be respected and you should treat well her heart.

A woman is not just her patience,

it is just not her caring heart, her persistence,

A woman is another human God created.

She might be different from what you see,

she might be fragile like how you think

but she’s got a beautiful strength, charisma and potential.

You think she’s different from you and yes she is! Of course she is because she’s meant to complete you, support you, back you UP.

And So do you! So are you to be the same and do the same.

Let her be herself,

let her embrace her beauty

in all the ways she wants to

cause you surely possess no right to tell her

how she to comb her hair, dress, talk or move!

Give her chances to prove to you what she can do and be.

You will know who a woman really is.

Don’t think she wants to feel superior,

she is just claiming rights that belong to her,

respect you owe her

not for what she means to you

but for what she is.
